Mamalange Dry
This wine is named for the family matriarch; Mama Angelina (1892-1958). The Moscato grape is grown east of Turino, Italy in the Piedmont area of Asti. It is used to make the renowned lightly sparkling sweet dessert wine of that region, less than 80 miles from the family’s ancestral home. We were very fortunate to be able to secure some of this prized juice and have made been able to offer our first Moscato! Since the locals in Asti often consume this as a dry and aromatic wine, we decided to produce the wine in this fashion. The subtle fruitiness coupled with the distinct nose has made a wine which our great-grandparents would be proud. 2008 vintage. $14.95
